Echinops ritro

Just collected seed for this today...........

I divided this plant last summer and it has taken on well in both locations...Their parent plant, in my other garden, was huge. It took about 3 seasons to reach that point so I'm hopeful for these two new clumps.

My seed came from a plant growing wild which pops up year after year.

Once they are established they can become a bit weedy...but I love it...the more the better! I've sent seed to a couple of GoY friends but never heard if it was viable or not. love those pretty blue orbs!

It never ceases to amaze me how spherical they are!
