It's been sweltering hot the last 10 days or so. The monsoonal flow has been very strong with lots of rain in the desert and mountains; none here, though.

It's raining again! We've had almost of week of rain...and we really needed it. Doing a rain dance for you D1. For almost the whole month of July it seemed like the clouds were drawing all our water and sailing off to the East or West...but never giving us any precip. Things finally changed at the beginning of Aug. We are at a higher elevation than that of the farms in the valley which means we are socked in with low cloud and mist. No complaints...bring it on!

Yes, we need some rain. It's been so hot and humid! I'm so over this heatwave!!! lol! :>)

I haven't been using the a/c because it hasn't been cooling the house down enough. It's just wasting energy and we've been on a flex alert for the last week or so. It's 91ºF/33ºC inside my house as I write this comment at 7 p.m. :>(

It's the humidity that is so uncomfortable...but 91 degrees in the evening hours...OMG. I'd be on the extinction list! I find the two or three weeks of very hot weather we receive every year harder to deal with every year. I could not exist in that heat for months on end. You have my sincere concern and sympathy...hope you have some rain soon. Well before Nov. at any rate! Hang tough!

Thanks! Tonight it's slightly more comfortable (the humidity is still very high). However, it's been 80 or more degrees at about mid-night for many nights, now. Far eastern San Diego County has been under excessive heat warnings for almost two weeks. They've had such dangerous heat out there. People are dying...so it's very serious! There's been a large amount of people going into to the emergency room in San Diego, with heat-related illnesses. :>(

Oh Goodness! Bless you all with cool rain vibes. ...any rain vibe. I know that basements are not common construction features in your houses out there; do you have one? ..when it's seriously hot here the basement is always cooler by at least 5-10 degrees.
