Itea virginica 'Henry's Garnet' and Summer Ice Daphnes

Just planted the Itea and thinking about putting a couple Summer Ice Daphnes in front. I thought the green/white variegated leaves of the daphnes would stand out against the red-purple fall foliage of the Itea.
