This little coffee tree is growing very well. It has been in the ground about a year and a half. Unfortunately, the flower buds cannot be seen...but they're there. It should be blooming soon. Photo taken Aug. 21, 2012.

Great shape, I love the dark glossy leaves. Does it have a single stem? and as it gets taller does it stay like this with leaves to the ground?

Alexandramou:
Thanks! Yes, when it blooms I hope to get some pics.
My tall 8ft coffee tree is just hanging in there. I may try to move it to a shadier place. It did much better when my neighbor had her very tall Oleander hedge. It was shaded from the hot afternoon sun.

I think this plant has multiple stems. I can have a single trunk. My tree has two main trunks.
When it grows taller the lower branches and leaves will be cut or fall off.

Coffee trees have some of the most sweetly fragrant flower of any tree.
Here's a few pics of my tree's last big bloom.

It looks beautiful!!! Can you take a close up of the flowers please? Mine is still very small, I should have moved it outside in spring.
