My tree hasn't set seed pods, yet. But, I can get seeds from the trees in the parks.

I never said I needed color in my garden, just flowering annuals (maybe). I have many flowering trees/shrubs in my garden: Markhamia lutea and zanzibarica, Spathodea, Plumeria, Dombeya, Melastoma, Bird-of-Paradise, Barleria, Adenium, Ixora, Odontonema callistachyum, Deppea, Mandevilla, Dalechampia, Justicia species, Megaskepasma erythroclamys, Magnolia grandiflora, Medinilla cummingii, Blakea gracilis, Raphiolepis, Eranthemum pulchellum, Begonia species, Jacaranda, Dozens of Angels trumpets in many colors, the list goes on-and-on. lol! :>) I think virtually all my plants are tropical or subtropical flowering plants.

All these plants are posted on GoY. :>)

I think I'd stick to the lovely tropicals, if the choice was mine. But there are some lovely little annuals that tuck in easily and add some really pretty accents. Sorry I misunderstood your comment.

Yes, the tropical plants have the most interesting and bright-colored flowers.

I have lot of Impatiens, Begonia, Petunia. Also, my Iresine and variegated plants add color to the garden. I do love Ice Land poppies. They will have to planted in mid to late Dec. I forgot the dreaded Lantana which pops up all over the yard. It does have nice flowers...although, I pull most out when I see them (I kept one large shrub, though).
