Lucky you, I have only had one visit from a Jay and that was many years ago.

Took a long time Drc..we moved here 12 years ago, saw one twice briefly over about 7 years, now he is in the garden at least monthly and probably more when we not watching!

Far too beautiful to be a member of the Crow family I always think! See you have a Magpie in attendance too Tet. Lovely photo.

Magpies in droves Muddy! They have even learned to hang on the fat ball container! The Jay hasn't sussed it yet lol!

It's Jackdaws that demolish my fatballs, but other birds feed on what they drop to the ground so they're all winners! :-)

Funny how "local" birds can be in an area isnt it. We are a couple of miles from Ashton Court where there are masses of Jackdaws, yet we never see one at home! Of course now we are getting flocks of 100+ starlings getting set to fly somewhere..darned things will make us bankrupt!
