Think I've got this in my pond where it's doing ok.

yes there's a couple like this they love wet or boggy areas, great plants :-)

What kind of juncus is that? I've got a Juncus filiformis spiralis that is a bog plant that grows in corkscrew-shapes, and looks very similar.

Losses have to be factored in.................

This one is Juncus decipiens 'Curly-wurly' Violeteyes, very similar to your one :-)

Yes very true Meanie they were a very low germination rate as well.

never heard of this - have spiral grass though

yes it's a strange one mate, i checked to see if it was the spiral grass re-named which they do with seed sometimes but it's definitely not apparently....
