Crocosmias

Same as Motinot and others, I thought I got rid of these.
That is a flower bed over the septic and I had a vision of all different colors of astilbes in that bed but little bulb(s) of crocosmia had to stay in the soil and it took over the bed. I have several clumps like that. Deer likes the flowers so most of the time I see only "sticks".

Inherited these in my garden - I dug out 4 huge clumps as deep as I could - all removed to the council tip. Following year I used week killer on any I missed as soon as the green was around 2 inches high. They have never returned!! I did keep a few bulbs for elsewhere in the garden and they are not a problem YET!!!

Oh Scottish, that sounds cruel. But maybe that what I will have to do to get them out of that location.
I have dozens of little pots of crocosmias I plant the bulbs in as I pull them out. We have a large acreage and some must have been disposed with the other organic matter because I have them popping up everywhere. They catch very quickly. Maybe I will have enough for deer around the property and they will leave my garden alone :-) Wishful thinking.

It's not cruel if you have given away as many as I could - only trouble is, very few people want them :)))
They grow along the river bank near me - I thinking that at some point someone must have dumped a pile - as the clump is huge and only in one spot!!
Good luck with whatever you decide to do :)
