A Streptocarpus i entered at the Shrewsbury flower show as a flowering pot plant

Not with this plant, no. It was entered in the flowering pot plant class. Still it's not a bad plant, and it helped to fill the table :-)

Shame, I think it is nice enough to have merited a prize.

Thank you, there were others very similar but the plants were bigger. I think a bigger plant seems to do better, as long as it's a good healthy plant.
As it's only a plug from the start of the season i think it did well, even though it didn't win.
The bigger plants i've got were plugs at the start of last season. Hopefully, if they last throughout the winter, i should have a few more plants that are a bit bigger.

I hope they survive the winter for you. As I've never grown them I don't know anything about them. There's always the internet though where we can find info on practically any plant in cultivation! :-))

That's true, plenty of information on the web.
Thanks very much, i hope they'll be OK. Last year more made it than didn't. I know that even with the Begonias, there's always one or two that don't make it through the winter. So maybe it's a similar thing with these.
I will have a read up on the internet, though. See what i can find...

Looks like a fine specimen to me! Did you win any prize for it?
