One of my class of three Begonia Rex at the Shrewsbury flower show
Comments on this photo
It was sold as a Begonia Rex, which i had assumed it to be. It's entered here with the Begonia Rex, and the judge hasn't said anything.
There is a very similar Begonia Rex to this i've seen on Dibleys nurseries displays at the shows called Rocheart, i did have that variety (but lost it) This plant was in Dobbies garden centre, in with the Begonia Rex, but with no variety other than Hybrid Begonia Rex as they were all labeled.

the ones with the swirl as the petiole always attract me...this one is a lovely thing. They are all crystalline...
a quality that is very hard to capture in a photo, because it's almost a sparkle that comes from the cells of the leaves. what prompted you to start raising gesneriads as well as begonias?
