Most of my many Yellow Jacobinias are blooming now. They bloom every year around late summer and fall. Photo taken Sept. 8, 2012. The Heliconias are in the background.

Klahanie:
There's different species which have different color flowers.
The blooms last a couple of weeks. However, there's many buds on each plant.

This is a pretty common plant. It only blooms in late summer and fall. The flowers don't last very long, though.
The larger the plant, the longer they flower.
