I agree Sticki, we do lots of goofy things to attract them and other birds too.

Sticki, we have 7 birdbaths all shapes and sizes and numerous feeders, bird suets, birdhouses , hummingbird feeders on every corner and hanging in the trees. My hubby has an app on his ipod with the bird "voices" which he is playing occasionally; he thinks that will attract them :-) We are creating a bird sanctuary in a visible spot (from our deck) putting everything there what birds need and want to attract them and it works. We have lots of them around, especially in the mornings, when the birdbaths are full . Watching all the splashing is very comical and entertaining. Of course they share my berries ,grapes and crabs rip our lawn apart, and are nesting in my hanging baskets (just to name few inconveniences).
When I water I have a flock of chickadees and sometimes humingbirds and little wrens waiting for the me to gently spray them. They follow me where ever I go.
I know that many do not share my enthusiasm for birds.
Take care

It sounds fantastic! I didn't realise how much they liked bathing! Do you feed them all year round?

Only when we are in this place on the V. Island. Usually we go south for the winter. Following the birds I guess :-)
