Penstemon 'Garnet' with P. unidentified

I sent some GoYers cuttings of a Penstemon last year ... possibly 'Million Bells' ... anyone had a mauve flower like the one in the top of this pic? They are two different plants so it's not a freak flower!

Beautiful! I was just saying elsewhere, Mine hasn't flowered yet. I wonder if 'million bells' is the common name for Pens. and the packet contained a mix of seed? We shall see Shirley!

Thanks for the names suggested, Motty and Pp - no labels to be found for Penstemon, despite searching high and low! .......
Karen - I now think the seed was a T&M variety called 'Miniature Bells' after looking at images on their site!

OK, will look that up then Shirley. When you sent the plant I did search for million bells and came up with nothing. That's why I thought it might be a 'seller's name'.

Stripes, thanks for the info. but I don't think it is Czar as that has a pure white throat and mine has a veined throat ... I'll post a pic for you to see what you think ... :o)

No not seen one like that yet. Its definitely different with the stripes in the throat.
