Green Man and Heuchera Planter..

Green Man and Heuchera Planter..

I loved this Green Man Patio Slab and thought that it would be a perfect feature fitted to a wall with a long planter in front of it. This Heuchera is kept within the protective shadow of the wall, and seems to be flourishing here.

I do like that,Flori..your Heuchera is ideal there..all mine do well in a little shade..was it difficult to fix the slab to the wall ?

Hello Bloomer, no my OH just used a large heavy duty screw in the wall to support the weight of it and it has been fine. I think this slab came from a Patio supplier and was only £6 or thereabouts at the time, and it makes an interesting feature of a boring plain wall. Thank you for looking in on me my friend..\0/x

Thank you Dotty, and you too Bloomer, San and Rich..It is amazing how such simple things can bring out the best in each other isn't it? I loved this Patio slab when I saw it, and it certainly adds interest to a boring wall..The planter underneath it just completes the look..\0/x

Thank you Yorkie..It certainly adds interest to a plain wall, and yet is the simplest thing to do..\0/x

how did you do it then

13 Oct, 2012

1) Buy Patio slab from a Patio slab centre..

2) Get hunking great OH to fit large heavy duty screw in wall..

3) Cuss a lot as we scraped fingers to fit it on said protruding screwhead..

4) Stand back and pray that it doesn't fall off!..LOL!

(These slabs usually either have a fitting on back to hang them, or a notch in the concrete to seat on a hook)\0/x
