I know many consider them vermin...but I love squirrels!
Rufus does too...but for reasons more akin to the black cat you've mentioned!

I don't mind watching 'em Amy, but they are so full of naughty tricks. One was upside down on one of the bird feeders yesterday nibbling at hulled sunflower seeds. Then you go to a pot and find plants disturbed to bury a nut. The lawn pulled to disinter a nut and eat or bury in another place. I am quite pleased when 'sneaky black cat' is on the prowl and they do their tail shaking at her. She is very lurky and patient. At least while she's stalking them they keep out of mischief!

LOL I know what you mean we get fed up of filling the bird feeders only to see the squirrels take the lot and then they dig the lawn up in the spring looking for all the nuts they have buried ... when we had a dog he use to chase them off !

:-) I had some lovely sunflowers come up unbidden. Think it was squirrel gardening. I love surprises!

Bloomin squirrels, they get everywhere. There was a long stand off between a black cat and a squirrel yesterday. Nutkins fancied hulled sunflower seeds and Black cat fancied the squirrel, or at least chasing it. Nutkins upside down on a tree trunk, shakin his tale and chittering.
