hope u had some good weather too Paul. we let a tipi and yurt in the summer. one group put up some sort of shelter and manged to have a bonfire in the rain...i was amazed by their determination to have fun...
i love to watch the mist rise and set in the valley.

We had 2 lovely days at end of our week..I noticed your photo of beach at Pendine(on another of your blogs). We didn't get there but did walk to Sandersfoot from Tenby and the mist that day was terrible.Walking back in the mid afternoon felt like nighttime. The mist lifted partly for about half hour at lunchtime!
shame because I know the scenery in that area is stunning but couldn't really see it properly!!!! but went the other direction from Tenby to Barafundle, Freshwater East, Manorbier,Penally etc later in week when smashing weather!

Barafundle is just the BEST.... i havent been there for years...the only bits i have walked are the fresh east to manorbier, and st govans to stack rocks. luckily both on great days the scenery is just amazing. hopefully u will return and get better weather...:-)

We still loved it Sandra ...1st time in Wales for me!walkingfrom manorbier back to Lydstep....unbelievable scenery!walking that side of Tenby was great but the coastal path to Saundersfoot was very muddy and overgrown.had to keep going off path thru woods to road as unpassable in places!
I couldn't believe how great Barafundle was.I suppose because it's so far off the road,it's unspoilt! Superb!

Glad u still had fun Paul. Barafundle is one of the few south facing beaches...we walked there one April when the kids were young...we nearly froze to death in the north winds as we walked there...but as soon as we were down on the sand in the protection of the cliffs its was so glorious the kids all went swimming....

Yes,lovely. We stayed there about half hour and most of that time we were the only ones down on the beach!!well, it had rained in the morning but the sun came out just as we got there, having parked car and walked from National trust place at Stackpole!!!

its a long way to walk ...but soo worth it. and you would be surprised on a rare hot summer day the beach gets packed.
