Amy, you should put it on the hottest spot you have in the garden. This one is close to the southern oriented wall, so it has heat until the evening. However, since yesterday there is not heat and I have to move it inside very soon.

Kat we haven't any hot spots it's autumn and COLD ! it lives in the greenhouse until we have frosts and then I bring it into the house , it's very small only about 18" tall ,it looks bushy & healthy but I've been told it's unlikely to have any fruit because I grew it from a pip :o(

But be careful, it tolerates more cold then darkness. So take care more for light then temperature. You do not need to move it to the warm house. If your winter garden has tem over zero, it is OK. Itf you take it to a very warm insde, it can then easily contract diseases. It needs Sparta education in the winter :)

Thanks for that info Kat I will leave it outside as long as the temp permits . I didn't realise that darkness was worse for them than temp . Another lesson learnt :o)

If you put them in darker place, they will lose all leaves.

I don't want that to happen it's taken long enough for it to grow to the size it is !
