Thanks Lincslass.
I overlooked the option for garden questions.

I have since found out that the variegated plant is actually a shrub called 'solanum rantonnettii variegata' the shrub grows approximately 2m high with a spread of 2m. I will definitely need to transplant this shrub when my garden is renovated. I almost killed the poor plant by placing it in the retaining block.

Lithodora with the blue flowers......I cannot remember the name of the plant with the varigated leaves and I believe it should not be placed in the retaining block.
I would appreciate it if GOY members can provide a name to this plant. Recently the plant produced little purple flowers.
Thanks
