I've been seeing a lot of these gardens this year and thought I'd try it. Actually harder to make small objects with hypertufa, the large troughs are much easier to make!

I have moss gardens without the hypertufa they start the year as seed pans.

They start the season as top seeds? :)

I have seen moss milkshakes before but never really knew of any other way of starting moss.
By the way, an ant colony sounds like a bad idea haha. I have all the ants I need already. Seems like every other hole I dig I end up pissing off a colony of ants. The citronella ants are the worst, they emit that citronella odor when crushed or disturbed and they bite!

Here we have a new fashion, too, so-called Ants ZOO.
You get big glass with something like jelly and some stones there on its bottom and a colony of ants. Then you follow them how they make corridors and nests, have to change that substance several times in a month, as it contains all nutrients the ant colony needs. A horrible hobby :))
