In the shed

So glad I don't have to do that. It must be a lot of work, & then you have to put them all back out again in spring.

That's about half of what will eventually be in there Dwyllis. It only takes a few minutes really.

There's a large window in the corner to the left that stretches all the way to the end of the potting bench. Almost fully insulated now thanks to duvets from freegle!

probably warmer than my house! i have a blanket round me to keep warm!!

I've got the wood burner roaring! Cooked a beef casserole on it last week and pot roasted a leg of pork on it today.

Oh Meanie I am so envious, we have wanted a log burner for years, the trouble is we now need to have the chimney lined which I understand is very expensive? your shed looks like our garden room lol

I believe that it can be costly. It was here when I moved in and I wouldn't be without now!

I really miss my conservatory, but this should be warm enough for most things I reckon.

Did it in my taggine sat on the top - three hours. Homemade apple sauce made with apples, sugar, cider vinegar and fresh ginger to go with it.

Thankfully it is a big 'un Karen! The majority of the time the door will be open, but at night or when it gets cold the door is shut.

It is really interesting how you all take care of the plants... moving it into the shed during the winter and cold days.

During my stay in London and Bournemouth I could see the plants all over in the streets, private gardens, stores, clubs and restaurants, and the parks.

I live in a country where the winter is not even close to yours, although now and then it would burn the plants, and we don't have all the flowers I saw there.

Our climate its surely appropriated for plants and flowers, and, of course, one can see the trees blooming away in the streets (mainly in south Brazil), but no as much as in England.

I'm traveling to France and Germany this end of the year, and I'm curious to see if there are as much flowers as in England.

Aleyna - the fun of it all is growing things that shouldn't like it here! Doubt that France and Germany will be too colourful in winter.............

Delonix - it's what we do in winter! Apple sauce is a classic English sauce, but the addition of ginger is my own take on it.
