3rd year seedling
Comments on this photo
Thanks for the comment Katarina! This is actually a seedling where 'Blue Mammoth' is its pollen parent. A (f1)seedling was grown from seed from 'Candle Glow' which is a streaked breeder. It resulted in a streaked seedling which had flowers that were pollinated with pollen from 'Blue Mammoth'. Flowers were marked with the cross. Pods formed, seeds were harvested and grown which led to the streaked seedling pictured. This plant can now be used as a breeder plant because it has streaks an will lead to a percentage of offspring that will be variegated or streaked. This is a 3rd year seedling that I will name in the future if it continues to do well. Thanks again for the comments.

Wow, fingers crossed then! It is beautiful Hosta. I have many Hostas in my garden, but this one loooks gigantic and has blue accent, almost like Elephant Ear hostas :))
