I can let you have a bit in the spring Scottish. Its another plant which likes to grow in woodland situations. It flowers early in the spring and I think it is a superb plant. The flower is actually the yellow bit in the centre of the lime green bracts. It only grows about 4" high. I've been discussing bracts with Bjs because of my poinsettia blog and he put on a pic of a lovely primula showing the green bracts on that.

I've seen them Sheila. That primula is a beauty. I've commented on your blog too.

Did you know there a couple of variations one with Varigated leaves and one a deeper colour.

I have heard of the one which has a deeper colour but not seen it. I have seen the variegated one and was not blown away by it. I think it is too busy. I have split this and moved it so will see how it likes its new home.
