Just sugar powder everywhere. Otherwise cold, sunny and no wind. So pleasant for walks, if you have warm hat and jacket.

and some nice fleecy gloves!

Could be too, although I have only leather ones. They are warmer.

i have some made by 'thinsulate' so far they have been nice and cosy but i dont think they would be waterproof, I used to have a pair of sheepskin mittens, they were nice.

This reminded me one of my grandma's stories... she lived in a small village in Romenia during her childhood, before come to Brazil.
She used to tell me about this plant with "white Christmas" balls, the reason why we hang "balls" on the Christmas tree she told me.
She always had some white ball on Christmas Tree.
I've never seen it before... thanks for sharing Katarina.

You are welcome, Aleyna. I also din´t know you call it snowball bush :)
But grandmother made a good choice with Brazil, didn´t she? lol.
Just four days ago I bought a-m-a-z-i-n-g X-mas present to myself, a necklace made from beautiful azure Brazilian Aquamarine and few silver flowers made by Shiana Tribe in Thailand. I am so happy to have it. It is beautiful. I learned from a woman, who makes them, that most beautiful aquamarine is from Brazil.

its also called a 'snowberry' bush here,

11 Dec, 2012

I didn´t know that, thank you.

I didn't know there was such a thing called a snowball bush...I just thought it looked like snowballs hanging from a bush!

12 Dec, 2012

That´s why you have your name- Floral Head, lol. You are clever.

:)
They don't even look real, I don't believe I have ever seen a white berry in my life...always red!

12 Dec, 2012

This bush is also pink (red). I have that one in my garden and this year it was spectacular. I didn´t bring the photos, as I always came to my garden when it was twilight, e.g. in evenings. But I can recommend it to you. It is absolute champion, grows in each soil, doesn´t need special care and profits from growing under bigger trees.

I looked it up & it`s quite common in the US & Canada....yet I`ve never seen it. Maybe just never noticed it? I will have to have a look around for it.
Gotta love those 'no-fuss' plants :)

Well done Katarina, the aquamarines here are really gorgeous.
But, the /'fashion/'nowadays is "golden Grass" check this out:

I sent a neckless for an english friend's gf, he said she uses it everyday :)

Combined with emeralds, corals, onix... is a feast to your eyes.

Interesting. Golden grass fashion didn´t reach here, yet:)
It is beautiful, however, I do prefer semiprecious stones. Maybe its their colour, maybe really I feel somehow they heal something in me, which is needed to be healed.
I for instance noticed, that from time to time I have an urge to buy some sort of a precious stone - just on my table or into the bag. If it is made like necklace or bracelet it is even better. It is always just certain stone. I remember, that some time ago I would never notice aquamarine, now I would like to wear it every day :)
Wow, that combination of stones sounds very good!

Those berries are beautiful Stickitoffee! Loved the ones in the top right hand corner with the tinge of pink & the other ones remind me of something in my garden called Lily of the Valley.
