Daylily 'Siloam Tiny Tim' for Daglelie

Know I've posted this picture before, just so Daglelie can compare to her plant :-)

You can never be 100% in comparison. Kinnebrew has a group on Flickr for people who have plants from his Spacecoast series to post photos so people can see how a different soil/climate will result in differences. You cann't even rely on habits to be the same. Lacy Doily is supposed to be evergreen, but mine has already died back and is a dormant.
That said, the 2 do look very close. :)

So true Wylie, they can even look like a different plant from year to year can't they, I have one called 'Slipped my Disco' had it four years now but its never shown that wonderful patterned eye until this year the coldest wettest ever and it was gorgeous usually you find the patterns are better with heat but not that one, didn't manage to capture it on camera though :-( suppose it could also be that its a variety that takes a while to settle???, have another which I was always convinced was a wrong plant 'Beat the Barons' every picture I've seen is a creamy white with a cherry eye, mines definitely yellow with much darker cherry eye :-), after reading the description on Tinkers it matches mine more than the pictures!!! posted a picture on another daylily chat site and everyone thought it was most probably right just weather conditions making it darker, soil does make a big difference too I agree I have 'Luxury Lace', which I divided ,growing in different soil conditions in the garden, clay soil it looks more a salmon colour sometimes almost orange, in sandy soil its very pale pink!!!!!
The only way I've ever manged to name any for sure is by looking through the catalogue of the supplier the plant came from, and thats only any with very distinct colouring, yes far too many in the unknown list.

Thank you for posting it, Simbad, I am sorry for my delayed response - it is such a busy time of the year. It looks as if I identified mine wrongly, but as you say it can be that soil and climate and all that things can lead to some confusion in identifying a plant. But your Tiny Tim is gorgeous indeed!

Thanks Moti and Gralew :-), sorry for late reply eldest daughter is moving in with her boyfriend and been helping her sort through her mountains of 'stuff', she's one of those people who throws nothing away lol, I'll miss her dreadfully but crikey I'll have so much more space lol, both daughters flown the nest in less than a year.
Glad you found the picture Daglelie :-)
