Mine is growing at the pace of a Cycad. I've moved it a couple of times now, but it just never seems to be happy. I suppose you just can't win with every plant! At least I've still got it even if it's still a sad looking thing.

That's incredible! I would think in your tropical climate it would grow like crazy. Possible a little fertilizer might get your vine growing a little faster. Even though I haven't fertilized my plant it continues to grow like crazy, and that's even with the very rare cold weather we've been having (which has been horrible the last 4 days!).

I'm hoping to see some growth after the coming wet season, and I'll be adding some fertiliser. I've now planted it in the ground, and hoping that will spur the plant on.

Yes, maybe more water might get it growing faster.
I had my plant in a one gallon pot and it grow up the laths on my shade structure in the front yard. It's when I planted it into the ground when it really had rampant growth.
The only thing I don't like about the vine is that it is never full of flowers, although it always has flowers on it.

It's beautiful! Many Mandevilla hybrids are widely grown here. They grow so very quickly!
How's your Dalechampia (Purple Wing) vine doing? Mine has gotten so very wild! I can't believe how rampant it has grown in one year in the ground. It's was suppose to be a slower-growing vine...or at least more manageable. Obviously not in my garden.
