If thats a 5,000 foot climate? the Bay Area must be up around 7,000. Being generous.

This area have 25 deg. Celsius temperatures all year round. No winter here. Just rainy season and dry season. Tempetarus remain the same.

Come to think of it..we would higher -cooler then Mexico City. I've seen photos of MC botanical garden. Plumeria's are shrubby at least.
googled- MC is 7,200'. I must be pushing 8,000.
Hayward's all year average is 68f..20c.but of course its divided between 58f (14f) in winter and 74 in summer. With the usual cold and hot seasonal days.
One big thing also- unlike soucal, the bay area never has a winter heatwave. We have the cold pacific ocean to the left, the winter chilly and foggy central valley to the right.
Without a doubt Klahanie- we have a true winter.
