My never-never plant has been putting out new leaves...it's been in this spot for many years. Photo taken Feb. 2, 2013.

Yes, although, the horrible water here causes the leaf tips to turn brown.

Same here, Andy. I keep moving mine (it's potted) trying to find the best spot and reduce the burning off of the leaf tips.

Mine don't like full sun here. I have these planted under pygmy date palms (Phoenix roebellenii). The protection under the palms helps with the leaf tip burning.

Mine are in the shadehouse here, and despite the protection the shadecloth provides, they only really like sitting in the shadiest spot down one end.

Yes, they are very much understory plants. My plant gets shade from the pygmy date palms and higher up is the canopy of the giant Jacaranda tree.
