Ooh lucky you! And does it 'laugh' in the old gum tree?

Yes, Sticki, all the time. They can laugh at any time of the day really, but they always laugh first thing in the morning just before the sun comes up, and in the evening as the sun goes down.
They are the soundtrack to our lives out here.

Almost like a cockerel!?
The sound track here is mostly spoiled by cars :-( but otherwise it would be chattering squirrels, screeching jays as well as crows!

We're very lucky out here, Sticki. We rarely hear cars in this spot. There is the daily early morning plane that goes overhead, but apart from that the sounds we hear all day long are bird sounds. There's usually always a bird or two somewhere out in the bush singing its song.
