Wow Delonix, this is beautiful! Haven't seen it around here.

It is a large hedge with birds-of-paradise growing in between. It's quite spectacular.

You are welcome. I only know because I have it on my list of srubs . Apparently Zone 7-9 which we would be in, but so far I could not find it in our local GCs.
I agree with you...it is very attractive.

This photo of this hedge doesn't even do the plant justice. It's was so spectacular!

I hope you can find this plant in your area soon. It's definitely one anyone should have for their garden.

Are you going to get one? It is probably easy to find in San Dego.

I'm only guessing, it would be easy to find. I may get one...as it's such a beautiful flowering plant. I'm not too familiar with it, though.

A little too showy for me as a rule, but rules are made to be broken! Very nice indeed!

Meanie, it's hardy, also.

I was looking at that - 7 to 9?

21 Feb, 2013

I thinks it's hardy down to 10ºF (-12.2ºC).

Should be safe at the top of my garden then.................

Have just ordered this off ebay, Loropetalum Firedance, was so impressed with the colours, hope it looks like this in a few years time.......I shall be chuffed.
