Evergreen Pear starts blooming the beginning of January. It's usually just starting to finish up it's bloom period by now. Photo taken in Old Town, San Diego, CA. on Feb. 16, 2013.

Thanks! The Aloe arborescens is just about done blooming. The peak bloom is in early January.

as i'm not used to seeing them with any flowers they always look odd with them..lol

Practically every species of Aloe on the planet grows here in California. LOL! Aloe species are so common here...most people don't pay attention to them, even in bloom (sometimes me included).
I'm guessing they don't bloom there because they don't grow outside...and most bloom in winter?
