I was reading somewhere that they are more likely to return for a second year if they have been in a good drained area. Both Spitzhenry and Scottish have said they have flowering reticulatas that were covered over by flood water so they must have good drainage. Also if you sprinkle Potash on the surface when you water them that is supposed to help build up the bulb for the following year. So do you subscribe to any of that Pcw. That is a lovely shade of blue. I don't thoink I have seen these anywhere.

This is first year with me.I've had the 'Katherine Hodgkin' that lasted a few years.I'm sure I read that some of these small Iris' can disapear quickly.Sheila, the colour in the photo is quite a good representation of the plants,I do give my bulbs some potassium when I can remember to do it.I know the chap on the S.R.G.C. bulb log does and you can't get much better than that.

He was our guest speaker last month and his advice was exactly like the SRGC blogs which I am working my way through. I got confused.
