very cold here too Michaella, although it seems a little bit brighter than it did yesterday. Have just been for a walk with the dog and it seems that the cloud is higher so hopefully it will clear again over the weekend.

Yes, same here...freezing but no wind and ever so slightly brighter than yesterday. Don't mind the cold, but this gloom gets to me. :(

...oh, and do you have any catkins on your Garrya this year?

Karen the pollarded tree is Ash and yes I do have Garrya catkins, although the frost and cold have not been good to it, it looks very scorched all over. Hoping it recovers. I did post a picture to show you last year, thought you had seen it. Have a look through the picture page you should see it, I got very excited when I saw them. lol. :O)

They are beautiful and a welcome sight Barbara, I was just think that I am glad I planted my roses yesterday although it was cold..but today feels a absolutely freezing here...no gardening for me...
