This is probably not "ikebana", but we call all decorative arrangements of flowers, where you use branchlets as ikebana.

:)) Yes, it is cute. She made also small nests, with empty bird eggs of different natural colours and spottings (empty) and stick bird to it. It is for Easter holiday.

what has she made the main nest out of kat? will the moss stay green?

The main nest is made from small empty eggs of different colours. They are sticked together by glue. So it is very fragile, you have to deal with it like with a porcelain :)

Moss is a perfect substance, because even when it is several months old and dried, it stays green. When you sprinkle water on it, it refresh. These moss wreaths should be kept in a cold place.

You must have then nice colour of roof and very warm inside in the winter?

its the side of the house you cant really see ~ north facing and the land to that side doesnt belong to us.

Do you think that is the reason (others´land) you have moss on the roof? ;-)
6 Mar, 2013
oh no, its the trees that make shade all the time, also facing north it never gets any sun
