Triangle palms growing happily at the Paradise Point Resort. This palm is very common in San Diego because it's so drought tolerant. Photo taken Feb. 28, 2013.

This is the same palm I sent you a few years back.
How is your triangle palm doing?

Unfortunatly it didn't make through the second winter ,i don't know why, it was doing fine then, when i looked again it was brown and dead.I was very dissappointed,i didn't know if i had done some thing wrong
But the costa rician bamboo palm and 3 of the Pacaya ( i think thats right spelling) are doing very well now.
They took time in climate adjusting and didn't do much untill last summer

Chamaedorea costaricana (Costa Rican Palm) and tepejilote (Pacaya Palm) tolerate cooler temps with more shade. Dypsis decaryi loves sun and a lot of heat! It may have been the lack of heat and sun which caused it to die.
Did the Chamaedorea radicalis die? I think I sent you those, also...right? (I wasn't sure).

The Chamaedorea radicalis are very tough palms. They tolerate neglect and cold very well.

I planted a seedling Triangle palm from ebay. To my surprise,it took, so far, in the summer of 2014. The winter will be the test.

I've had them grow in the SF Bay Area. I actually had a large one which grow for a long time.
