I have been busy for a week making this outfit for her dressing up as The Hungry Caterpillar to mark World Book Day. Added feelers, eyes and nose before she went home, lol.

That's brilliant Olive! I used to love 'creating' outfits for Ella & Jamie on world book day, it's amazing what you can fashion from old curtains Lol x

thank you everyone for your lovely comments. Wonder what the kids are thinking about Miss being all in green this morning. lol. Bet they are sky high, they were all dressing up teachers and helpers and kids. Bless - bet they have not done much work, think they may have taken a while to settle down to do work today. lol.:O)

Ha ha...my son, children's entertainer is taking his naughty monkey 'Charlie' (ventriloquist puppet....not real) to read to Nursery School children today..all great fun!!

Oh brilliant Paul, the kids will love that. They do so enjoy people coming into school to entertain them. I used to love it too when I helped in school. Their little faces light up, so good to see children enjoying themselves and learning without really knowing it. :O)
When my daughter was at college she worked in a Nursery for experience and money. I took a box of day old ducklings in for them to look at and if you had seen their faces, they sat in a circle with their legs outstretched and they were so excited, they were dithering with excitment, (the babies that is not the ducks) we had such a laugh. What an experience it was. Not sure the baby ducklings enjoyed the experience but the children certainly did. Always good for kids to get different experiences and sense different things. I would have loved the ventriloquist puppet one of the things that still amazes me. lol.

My son's girlfriend work is in a nursery and she did talk of me going in and growing seeds with theme tv but not sure if that'll happen now because they've lost the use of their outdoor area, but I would've enjoyed that Oliveoil!

Thanks Karen :O)
Thank you Homebird she had a brill day all the kids dressed up and all the teachers and helpers.
You would have enjoyed it Paul, there is nothing like children to put a smile on your face. Great to see them all enjoying themselves, what a shame they have lost their outdoor area. Kids need to get mucky some times. lol :O)

Really clever, a lovely costume - what are you making her for Red Nose Day I wonder because she could well be dressing up again for that in school!

Nothing been mentioned about Red Nose Day. lol (thank goodness) The youngest daughter had Ofsted in on World Book Day so they didn't dress up until Friday when they had gone. She borrowed the outfit for that so it has well and truly been around the schools. lol. The only thing she said was it was too hot she only stuck it out for half a day. bless! Think there might be orders coming in though, people want more!!!! If only they knew how stressed out I was making this one outfit they would not mention more! lol :O) I hate sewing alright with knitting but hate sewing.
