Now in full bloom.

This is one plant - there is another just like it alongside. This is their third year; there were Lavenders in this bed when we came but they were so old that they had gone woody and had to go. I clip off the dead flowers at the end of the season and then clip them back again in the spring. I chose this variety because of the deep purple colour. They are in sun most of the day, and in a dryish soil. Hope this helps!

Thank you much.
My son and I both like lavender and are disappointed in the small amount of flowers so far, it seems we will just have to give it a little more time, it gets sun at least for 8 hrs a day so I think it is just too young yet, has spread out well with lots of growth, but only a few flowers.

Could you tell me more about your lavender. How long has it been in that position? How many plants are needed for a nice show like this?
