Thanks both, Paul it fends for itself now, it has been in the garden over 5 years or possibly more....built up some resistance, and it is under the protection of a very large Arbutus Unedo.....

This is a new one to me , another nice shrub ....

Amy we both like NZ plants, and building up a small collection now, not many are totally hardy, but I love the leaves, all different shapes.
