Like four white maiden-sisters all called Claire preparing for a Spring wedding, jostling for a place in the sun even though Winter is biting back. 'Come and get me!' they cry to every passing bee, but no gentle bee-caresses for these aspiring brides just my clumsy efforts with a camel-hair brush, (protest though they may) with little or no prospect of a satisfactory outcome.
