African Tulip trees are strange trees. They can bloom any month of the year. I've seen them in full bloom every month of the year here in San Diego. It just depends on the cycle of the tree and weather conditions.
My tree is young and it's getting pretty large. I'm guessing it'll start blooming earlier from now on. It also blooms almost all year.

Yes, we're very lucky in San Diego. We have so many different subtropical/tropical flowering trees which bloom all year.
