This rather disappointingly small-flowered but very long-stemmed Lilium tries to make up for its lack of aesthetic appeal by looking like a scene from C.S.I. - 'Dried blood all over - there must be a vic somewhere?'. 'Better drop the Dead Donkey case!' 'Let's hope it's just a dead rat?' The bulbs of this Lilium should be accompanied by a warning notice and more appropriate names might be 'Silent but Violent' or 'Blood Lust'. If anyone would like this plant growing in their garden please call and collect - A.S.A.P. This is a matter of some urgency - I am keeping my bedroom door locked at night.
