One of my all time favourites.

This took the place of that large poorly Hebe, if you remember, Scotsgran. It's a big improvement. :-)

I love it too. I had never known it before I came here. They grow it in masses here....it is a bit of a council plant...but that doesn't put me off. When the sun light hits it....magic! But it's taken me until last winter to plant one here, and it is very small....but in time.....

Yes I remember your adventurous trip to get it too. Its looking very happy.

It does seem to be. It's none the worse for being 'pruned' by the tractor, either! lol.

They plant them in carparks here too, Karen. Then they chop them down into horrible shapes. YUK!

We have a small forest, well, not a forest, just rather a lot of trees in a small garden, far more than we should have really!! must do a blog one day about them.....

Yes, please do. Trees are so important in any garden and you are a role model for smaller gardens. :-D)
