i have a red rhododendron that looks more intense this year, it also has more flowers ~ i thought perhaps it liked the snowy winter?

Stunning! I had two red ones in my old garden, but none in this one...they are really so vibrant!

Brian, my problem with rhododendrons is that I get bored with them when they're not flowering, so sometimes I buy them in flower, then want to replace them with something more colourful when it gets to summertime!:)

This is a lovely rhodo. None of mine are ready to flower yet although the buds are growing. I tell a lie I have one pink one which has been flowering for a wee while.

It is stunning. Funnily enough, I've noticed a really vibrant one like this in a neighbour's garden this year which I've never spotted before.

Beautiful! I had one of these but I transferred it to a neighbours garden, which is a useful place for things I've no room for!:) I noticed today that it's coming into flower but it's not as advanced as this.
