That's beautiful! The last one removed from here last week...I've had to give up on them. They seem to hate the coastal winds. I grew them well in the city down the road! Oh well.....never mind!

You can't win them all, Karen. It's a shame, but there are plenty of lovely shrubs you can grow.

I love them as well and bought 6 when we moved to this place but none of them is doing well, although I have seen some beauties in gardens around here. I do not have luck with them.

They seem to do well here. I inherited a beautiful C. repens, which must have been at least 20 years old, so it eventually gave up the ghost. There's another inherited one in the front garden, which is looking a bit scraggy, I keep chopping out dead bits - I suspect it's also on the way out, but it has had a long life.

I hear from "experts" that they have a short life span.
But I love that blue mass of flowers when on bloom.
Also they respond nicely to hard pruning.

I'm sure it won't be long.

Bought one in 2011 called `Italian skies` I think it must be disappointed to be here in the midlands as it hasn`t flowered yet.lol.

Poor thing - what a shock it must have had! :-O

Love Ceanothus, one has flowered, waiting for the others now.....such beautiful shades of blue...

The very old one I inherited is just coming into bloom. I have to chop dead bits off every year, but it can stay as long as it's still alive. :-)

Same here, Evergreen do not live as long apparently, B what is the pretty yellow plant in the front to the left?

That's my favourite-est shrub...Coronilla valentina. It's absolutely covered in flowers at the moment.
