Heliconia is a very heavy feeder and I don't feed this one as much as it wants, it's also in a pot.

My other larger Heliconias in the ground bloom every year very well. They do get much more fertilizer, though.

Yes, very true. This was a very, very long wait!

It was bad enough waiting seven years for my Strelitzia - eleven years really is patient!

My problem is that I've never really fertilized this Heliconia very often. Heliconias are such very heavy feeders.
