Some of my plants in the front yard at night on a very hot 101ºF (38ºC) day. Tomorrow will be hotter! Yuck! Photo taken May 12, 2013.

Yes, I think your brother-in-law is going to notice a huge difference in temperature. Inland San Diego communities have been very, very hot the last 3 or 4 days (including the nights). The temps will be back to normal by Thursday, though. YAY!!!

My brother in law is flying over today from San Diego only its about 13 degrees here.he'll notice the the difference.
