Magnolia tree in the middle of May. Now almost without flowers.

Unfortunately the new owners are unlikely to treat any wound they cause the tree if they do decide to lay into it. :-((
I go past it occasionally so I'll let you know if there are any developments to write about.

looking at it from this angle Balcony a decent re-shaping of the mag would not hurt it & that would be a better option should the new owners think it too big & decide to remove it all together. I prefer an early summer pruning as the wounds dry out quicker as opposed to autumn pruning when the weather can remain cold & wet allowing fungal infections.
