Dutch Irises

I wasn't sure that I liked these when I saw them first last year, but this year I must be a bit less shocked by the bright colour. They are a bit gaudy.

The picture is upside down on my monitor Feverfew. I think that happens when the picture is taken with iphone. It will look OK on yours. I think they are beautiful. Gaudy is OK in the garden. Especially in the darker corner.

Still a great plant and photo. The variegated leaves make the plant attractive even if it is not in the bloom.

Sorry about my upside down pics! I don't think there's much I can do about it. I suppose I could try standing on my head to take them? I wonder if it would make any difference. The irises have long since disappeared underground. Now the Holly hocks are doing their stuff.thanks for you comments.

Feverfew, short of standing on your head, you might consider turning the camera upside down. :-)
