Beautiful. Mine in pots got the dreaded vine weevil, grrr. I re-visited your blog (very useful, as I wouldnt have known why they were failing) and split them, checked them, dowsed them with the killer and re-set, I think the grubs come with the plant, dont you.

I do Dawn...it's very annoying isn't it. I've lost a few again. I don't think it was the weevils this time though...I think it was me overwatering them! They seem to be quite fragile when small.

Hmmm not all the ones I re-set have grown. Funny plants, they either seem superb or not, lol. You've reminded me to give them another watering with the vine weevil killer - just in case.

hmmm...I agree....I was thinking same thing earlier. They either seem to go mad and be really stunning....or just sit there and wither. Perhaps some are just not very hardy. I don't know, it's a b****r though as they are quite expensive to buy online and I get all excited about them...and then they just die on me! I'm beginning to think a Heuchera obsession is a very expensive addiction!

The last 6 I bought cost me about £30 - not good to lose them at that price. Do you have any in the ground, the ones I have in the garden seem to do better but I like to see them in pots.

Well I agree! But not all of the ones I have in the ground are doing well. Some of those have also died. It's not so simple is it!? I am thinking I shall stick with the ones I have that are successful, and try to resist adding any more new ones!

Frustrating but sometimes its the only way. I havent got the time or the money to throw at temperamental plants. :-)

Exactly! I don't mind spending money on plants, as everyone on here knows...but when they just don't grow, for no good reason.....aaaargh....too much waste!

A pretty one K.......Heucheras seem to fall in to two categories brilliant or rubbish, we have lost a couple but on the whole we have been lucky, they are much better planted in the ground, but saying this we have some in pots that are outstanding, so perhaps it is the variety?

Yes, I agree!
