This Heliconia has had it's bracts for almost a month and now it will start to bloom. This is one of several flowering stalks. Photo taken June 10, 2013.

I think you meant to say: "I love these bracts!" LOL! :>)
The flowers are small and not so showy and they come out of the bracts.

LOL! Some species of Heliconia have flowers which are as spectacular as the bracts.
