Has finally made it to bloom

Thankyou Bjs its 7yrs old in my garden and 4ft tall.
I paid £5 out of a hospital walled garden nursery .
But dont know how old it was when I bought it.
There is 9 blooms this yr.

It looks great. I had my first flower this year. It was a root cutting from Brian our Peony champion.

If it is only 4 ft high I may be wrong with the name,as there are other yellow ones would expect it to be taller if it were Lutea .has it set any seed in previous years.

This is such a lovely yellow.
I have several self-seeded ones (from next door, - my neighbour has a tall one growing well) which appear to be growing well, but only about a foot tall yet.
I moved two of them which seem to be doing well and didn't mind the move, so I am hoping!!
I have left about 3 or 4 growing where they seeded, I am wondering if I should try and separate them up and put elsewhere.(one or 2 to my daughter's garden maybe!!)
